As a teacher, author, and person, I know the power of stories. We use stories to bridge gaps, open minds, and create statements about the world that we see and the worlds we can imagine. It is my mission to create stories with complex characters and societies that reflect our own world so that everyone can see themselves reflected.
My work is driven by a deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. I aim to craft narratives that celebrate the experiences, cultures, and identities of our vibrant world. I create characters with diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and voices.
Beyond the diversity that exists within my characters, I strive to develop worlds, societies, and cultures where these characters can thrive, face challenges, and grow. I will highlight the themes and plots of these challenges.
I also commit to continual growth and education on the subject of diversity. I will continue to strive from continuous learning and growth in my personal and professional life. I welcome feedback from readers and the broader community, and I am committed to listening and evolving to serve better and represent everyone.
